The Lotus Café is a collection of songs written by EM Nucci Jr. and Peter Rappaport. The project started as an online collaboration: Peter would send outlines or prose, and Mike Nucci would reshape the lyrics and bring the ideas to life through music.
What makes these songs special is the way they were created—usually written and recorded in a single day, often in one take. The performances carry a sense of loneliness and hope, captured with a raw, unfiltered sound. No overdubs, no scratch tracks—just live, honest music.
